My Journey

I started my journey in cybersecurity through digital forensics at Hawk Eye Forensic, where I worked on recovering, analyzing, and preserving evidence from computers and mobile devices. Investigating cyber incidents taught me the value of precision, curiosity, and defending against real-world threats.
But I also realized that defense alone isn't enough — the best defenders think like attackers. That's why I'm now pursuing my Master's in Cybersecurity at the University of Maryland - College Park, focusing on bridging red team creativity with blue team strategy to build smarter, more resilient defenses.

My Background

The Story So Far

Current Journey

Hey! I'm Abhijeet Kumar, just a curious human trying to outsmart machines and malicious actors (sometimes both at once). Right now, I'm diving deep into cybersecurity at the University of Maryland - College Park, where I'm learning how to defend networks, break into them (legally), and what can be built to make security smarter, faster, and more resilient.

The Fascination

I've always been fascinated by how systems work, and more importantly, how they break. Whether I'm digging through digital evidence, scripting weird little tools, or chasing flags in late-night CTFs, I'm here to learn fast, fail smart, and fight back better.

The Approach

Big fan of red team creativity, blue team strategy, and anything that feels like digital chess. If it's got logs, packets, or payloads — I'm probably already poking at it.

The Mission

Building a bridge between offensive and defensive security. Learning to think like an attacker to build better defenses, and understanding defense to create more effective attacks. It's a beautiful cycle of continuous improvement.
